About this event

## Summary

The Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) is an NSF-funded program providing supercomputing resources and large data repositories to researchers and educators in the US. It is the most advanced, powerful, and robust collection of integrated advanced computing resources and services. QCL joined the program in Fall 2018 as part of the Campus Champions research computing group to serve the CMC community.

This workshop provides an introduction to XSEDE services, different high-performance computing resources, and how to get access to XSEDE allocations including different types of proposals. Also, it allows the participant to understand the way to interact with XSEDE resources and provides practical examples on how to do so through online demo.

This workshop will be useful to faculty members whose research involves hours and days of non-stop computing and/or utilizes large data sets taking so much money to store them in the Cloud.
